Manchester Tank & Equipment in Quincy, Illinois (MTQ) has an exciting line up of activities planned to celebrate McWane’s EHS/HR month. In addition to reviewing multiple safety and human resource policies, MTQ will be participating/sponsoring several activities during the month of June. They kicked off the McWane EHS/HR Awareness Month with presentations by Manchester Tank President Robert Graumann (pictured top left) and Vice President of North American Operations Tom Schilson (pictured middle left). Robert, Tom and MTQ General Manager Jason Eads (pictured bottom left) stressed to team members that safety is the number one priority at Manchester Tank and while MTQ has reduced its total recordable incident rate and increased the number of days between incidents, safety is a process that has not end. Team members must commit to working safely 100% of the time each and every day. Team members were presented t-shirts to commemorate the inaugural McWane EHS/HR Awareness month and remind them that they safety should be at the forefront of everything they do.

They will also be holding a safety calendar contest for the children of the MTQ team. The theme of the contest is “My Family Working Safely at Manchester Tank.” Twelve winning entries will be judged by a non-partisan committee and each winner will receive a bicycle and their design will be appear in the calendar.

Team members have also been invited to participate in company-wide sponsored contests including McWane’s “What I Live For” poster contest and McWane’s EHS-HR theme/branding contest.
MTQ will also have weekly drawings for home EHS items including fire extinguishers, CFL light bulbs, Brita water pitchers, smoke alarms, solar walkway lights, fire escape ladders and carbon monoxide detectors. Last week’s winners were Andrew Wayson, Larry Hildebrand, Jessie Buss, Tracy Broeker, and George Gore.
